The Walking Dead

Friday Night saw the return of The Walking Dead to British TV screens on FX, with the 1st episode of the 3rd season. Now before I go any further there may be Spoilers in this post if you have not seen it yet be warned.
Last season ended with the farm being over run, Rick and the clan fleeing from a massive heard of walkers. They were out of gas, food and ammo. In the first episode of season 3 Rick and gang are still on the run from the heard. Scavenging for what ever thy can find! whilst on the search Rick comes across a prison and true to the comics series the gang decide to make it there home.
I came late to the party with the comic's and started reading when they re-released the story in the Walking Dead Weekly format. Enjoying the comics up to volume 8 of the collected books.
Whilst watching the 1st and 2nd series of the TV show I am majorly hooked. The only thing that half bugs me with the TV series is the killing off of characters in a different order to the book At the start of the 2nd season we see Sophia turn into a walker before they get to the prison only then to see Dale killed off at the end. Which is a shame as in the book he is one of the major character's in the prison story line.
Knowing what happens in the book with these characters is making the TV series both head scratching and also interesting as to how this TV series is going to play out.
The Two major things that I can't wait to see evolve is the introduction of both Michonne and the Governor.
Michonne was first seen in the last couple of minutes of the last episode of the 2nd season, in which she came out of the woods leading her 2 amputee walkers and saving Andrea from a bunch of loose walkers. In the 1st episode of season 3 we only see a little bit of her, but we do find out that she is a bit kick ass with the sword she carries.
As for the Governor not sure how he will work as they can't make him as evil on TV as he is in the books... can they?
I mean if they are playing this series as close to the books as we would like then SURELY they can't show what he does to Michonne.... can they?

One thing is for sure I will be sitting on my sofa at 22:00 every Friday night from now till the series finish's to see if it ends with the dramatic conclusion that the prison story line concludes with in the book.
